The ProposalLift Chrome extension opens on Upwork's proposal apply page. It reads the job you are applying to, drafts a proposal from the persona, template, and hook you pick, can answer the client's screening questions, and inserts the draft into the proposal field. You review it and click submit yourself: the extension never submits and never spends Connects. It is free to install and works with your ProposalLift account.

What the extension does on the apply page
Open a job's apply page
The ProposalLift panel appears on Upwork's proposal page for that job, and nowhere else on Upwork.
Pick your persona, template, and hook
Choose who is pitching and which structure to use. Your choices are remembered for the next job.
Generate
The draft streams in the panel, written from the job and your saved context. Tick the screening option to answer the client's questions in the same pass.
Insert, review, submit
Insert the draft into Upwork's proposal field, edit it there, and submit it yourself when you are happy with it.

What it does
- Runs only on Upwork's proposal apply pages.
- Drafts from the persona, template, and hook you choose.
- Answers screening questions when you ask it to.
- Inserts the draft into the proposal field for you to edit.
What it does not do
- Click submit. You always submit the proposal manually.
- Spend Connects or boost a proposal.
- Browse, search, or apply to jobs on its own.
- Access sites other than the Upwork apply page and ProposalLift itself.
Privacy and permissions
The extension asks Chrome for two permissions, storage and windows, and can only talk to ProposalLift's own servers. When you generate, it sends the job details from the page you are on, together with the persona and template you selected, to your ProposalLift account, which writes the draft with the AI model you chose.
Your sign-in session is kept in the extension's local storage, which is not synced to the cloud. API keys never reach the extension.
