The short answer

Use AiProposer if you want a cheap, quick way to turn a job post into a solid draft, and you are happy to keep finding the jobs yourself. Use ProposalLift if the writing is no longer your bottleneck and the searching, filtering, and choosing is.

These products overlap on drafting and barely overlap anywhere else.

Where AiProposer is the better choice

• Price, plainly. A free tier at 2 proposals a day, and paid plans from $4.20 a month. We are $15. If your applying volume is low, the cheaper tool is the right tool.
• You want a niche template ready to go. More than 20 prebuilt niche generators mean less setup than writing your own personas and hooks.
• You want to try before anything. The free tier needs no card and does not expire, which is a lower bar than our 14-day trial.
• You like its structure. AiProposer opens on the client's problem rather than your credentials, which is genuinely good advice and a defensible way to build a draft.

Where ProposalLift is the better choice

• Finding the work is the hard part. A live Upwork feed with saved filters and alerts brings matching jobs to you. AiProposer has nothing in this category.
• You want to skip bad jobs before paying Connects. AI Job Qualify grades a job against criteria you write and marks it qualified or disqualified.
• You apply from Upwork itself. The Chrome extension reads the apply page, drafts in place, answers screening questions, and inserts the result for review.
• Your proof should be picked for you. Saved projects are ranked against each job by semantic similarity. AiProposer offers past work matching from Starter up, though its public pages do not describe how it selects.
• You want to run it yourself. The open-source edition is AGPL-3.0, uses your own API keys, and sends no telemetry.

A fair caveat

On the narrow question of turning one job post into one good proposal, AiProposer is cheaper than us and probably fast enough. We are not going to pretend a price gap that large is nothing, and if your application volume is a few a week, it is the sensible purchase.

The reason we build more than a generator is that the expensive part of Upwork is not producing text. It is deciding where to spend Connects and keeping your context in one place so every draft starts informed. That is a bet about where the time goes. If your experience says otherwise, trust your experience.
