ProposalLift has two hosted plans: Pro at $15 a month for one freelancer, and Agency at $25 a month for a team with a shared workspace, or $150 and $250 a year. Both start with a 14-day free trial and no card to start. There is also a free, open-source edition under AGPL-3.0 that you self-host, paying only for your own AI usage and hosting. There is no free hosted plan.

Hosted plans spend credits on AI actions. Pro adds 30 credits and Agency adds 50 to the shared pool when the plan starts, paid plans receive a monthly allowance, and credit packs cover busy months: 5 credits for $0.99 or 25 for $4.95.

The open-source software itself is free. Running it has three costs, all paid directly to the providers: OpenAI API usage for what you generate, wherever you run the Docker container, and a Supabase plan if you ever outgrow the free tier. A single user fits comfortably on Supabase's free tier.
The trade is time rather than money: setup takes an afternoon plus Upwork's review of your developer app, and updates are applied by hand.
Your data stays where it is, and the account pauses until you choose Pro or Agency on the billing page. Nothing is charged automatically, because no card was taken to start. During a live trial you can switch between Pro and Agency once, and the trial keeps its original end date.
